Random Head


More Zbrush practice.

  1. Good start, you’ve got some good stuff going on, but my one crit would be to define the overall head/skull shape more.

    Right now the overall head shape seems too unspecific and blob-like…The sides of a head are pretty flat, you should define the corners a bit more… just like with drawing make sure the overall head structure is good before diving into the features…

    Keep doing these! Post some more!

  2. (Nice trex sketches below) Anyway, for this...Id say focus on shape more. You shouldn't be adding details like hair or eyebrows till you are happy with the overall shape. Do you know about the trim dynamic brush? Its really useful for hard surface things like those goggles. On your next model you might try modeling out some of the hard-surface parts in maya/max and then bringing them in as a subtool. Its really hard to make perfectly round shapes in zbrush. Also the shape of the lips seem odd. I'm not sure what reference you were looking at, but usually lips are more like this. http://www.zbrushcentral.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=239455 always use lots of reference! Keep it up! You are making me want to make something.
